Green Technologies

We have been pioneering green technologies since 1980.

In the early 80's, the founder of MAMAC Systems pioneered the concept of using microcomputers to automate HVAC and environmental control systems to enhance efficiency and reduce energy consumption. In the era of pneumatic controls, he was one of the first to come up with the concept of using sensors to directly measure all variables and to do real time control of all mechanical equipment based on demand to improve efficiency. The system reduced natural gas consumption by over 60% and significantly decreased electric consumption in a 380,000 square feet computer hard disk drive manufacturing facility of Magnetic Peripherals, Inc a subsidiary of Control Data Corporation.

He went on to add additional functionality to the system including security surveillance, plant engineering, life safety and preventive maintenance. The first ever total Facilities Management System was born. Remote manufacturing locations in Aberdeen, SD and Oklahoma City, OK were all connected to the headquarter using modems and telephone lines.

Based on this knowledge and experience, MAMAC Systems was founded in 1982. Since then millions of sensors, transducers and web enabled appliances have been manufactured and shipped worldwide to improve efficiency, reduce energy consumption and enhance operations of office buildings, hospitals, airports, institutional facilities, schools, homes, stadiums, retail and recreational facilities globally.
